In October 2016, McMinnville Habitat for Humanity announced that a street in its new Aspire subdivision in northeast Mac would be named “Turner Way.” It salutes 25 years of contributions of Bernie Turner, Habitat co-founder. Now, in October 2017, a Turner Way sign is up.

Mac Gas highway sign is a classic

“Along the Street” items in 10/13/2017 McMinnville N-R print edition headlined “Mac Gas gears up for major expansion” says the hwy 99W-located business is replacing its building, which had been there since 1952. But, there’s no mention of the most visible part of the business, the Mac Gas Propane sign on the highway. Since the sign (see photo taken by Mac News 10/15/2017) is still there, it’s assumed that while the building is changing, the sign is not.
