FLYING SAUCER REPORTS
While the McMinnville, Ore.,
Telephone-Register (now the News-Register) newspaper has claim to blockbuster
UFO photos in its June 8, 1950, edition, the Parkland (Tacoma metro area),
Wash., Times-Journal is among newspapers which ran a “Flying Saucer Reports”
column. Here’s the column, “Presented weekly as a public service by the Bargain
Basket” from the Parkland newspaper’s Dec. 5, 1957, edition.
At the end of the
column is this, “Information contained in this series courtesy of Aerial
Phenomena Research Group, Seattle, Washington.”
And, also, “PLANNING A SPACE
TRIP? BEFORE YOU LEAVE, STOCK UP AT THE Bargain Basket.”
